Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC

Good day! Anyone working in HSS? I am very interested about this hospital because it is the first Magnet hospital in NYC. However, due to the hospital's size, I would expect that the salary that they offer would be lower than the other hospitals in NYC. My other concern is the working environment of the hospital, is it good and tolerable? I have heard that the hospital also has a Clinical Ladder and that is a plus for the salary.

Does the hospital gives bonuses and market increase? Is the orientation program efficient? Those are just some of my concerns at this time.

My main concerns are: I want to be in a hospital where I could learn and grow most and of course, be justly compensated.

Hi everyone!

I love this website ! I am in the process of finding Tech jobs in NYC because I am applying to nursing school in that area and found a job posting for a tech job at HSS which I really really want! I currently work as a Patient Care Tech II in the Emergency Department of a hospital in upstate NY. ALthough, I am not certified which makes me think I will run into problems finding jobs at the bigger hospitals like NYU etc.

I am wondering if you guys might know who I should try to contact directly to show that I really want to work for HSS. I am thinking about the Nursing CEO but am not sure if she would be the best person to talk to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Hi all, I know this thread is a little old but I was hoping someone could give me some advice to the interviewing process at HSS- what is the panel interview like? and what type of questions should I expect? I really want to do well, so any advice will be very much appreciated! Thank you!
