Hospital NP's=Same benefits as CRNAs?

I heard CRNA's get free medical care. Just wondered if things were the same for NP's in the hospital?

My medical/dental insurance Premiums are part of my benefits package. And, because I am on staff in the hospital ED as provider, I do not pay for medical care; in that hospital only.

If the CRNAs are hospital employees then they get the same benefits that other employees do. If they are 1099 employees they get no benefits.

This isn't what I read. I read they get the same benefits MD's get.

If NP's get the same as regular nursing staff this sucks.

Where did you "read" this. MDs unless they are employees, don't get any benefits from the hospital. There are a number of reasons related to anti-trust and Federal competition laws that make it difficult if not impossible for hospitals to offer physicians free or reduced price care. Not saying it doesn't happen somewhere but it shouldn't.

MDs typically aren't employees of the hospital. In certain areas like ED and anesthesia, they may be part of a group that contracts services with the hospital and may be able to include certain hospital-provided benefits, but generally hospitals provide no benefits to physicians or other allied health providers.

I don't "remember." I know I read it, though.

If both the CRNA and the NP are employees in the same hospital, then their benefits should be the same. I wouldn't see why one should be different than the other. I have been an employee in two different hospitals as a nurse practitioner and in both places, our benefits are similar to management level employees or non-salaried employees, meaning not the same as nursing staff. But this is just my experience, I will not assume that this applies everywhere.
