I am looking for information on hospital experiences in the LA/Orange county area. I am looking to do my next assignment in this area and would like some more information about what to expect.
thanks!

I dont have any advise for you, but I'm in the same boat. I want to travel there in a few weeks, but I'm having a hard time finding a position in the area. Pay seems to be lower then in the past also. Not many people have responded when I asked for advise on a particular hospital.

I have worked at EVERY hospital in Orange County thru my registry. I'll be happy to address specific hospitals, tell you the ones that have a bad rap, etc.

Tell us then! My husband and I are thinking about getting an assignment there next year. I know Northern California will probably pay more but we plan on staying at my mother in law's condo and get housing stipend and my husband would be able to spend time w/ his daugthers and grand daughters.
My husband is from Orange County. moved here in FL since we got married.
We'd appreciate ur input!

Don't go anywhere near LA county facilities. Personal experience...it sucked...Had a friend that worked Cedar's Sanai (?) said it was ok.
What is so bad about the county hospitals? How are they different from other hospitals in the area?

LA county hospitals are the ones in the news right now...(remember the woman who died in the ER?...LA county). These county hospitals are under a lot of scutiny right now and it is a very stressful work environment.

I like St Joe's in Burbank. Nice hospital.

Also known as Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center...
Thanks:) I don't think I know any hospital's full name down here:)
I know the story of the woman who died was at a LA county hospital, but I'm curious how working on the floors are. Aparently there aren't that many LA travel positions open right now unless the contract is thru the new year.
