I just got a school nurse job! I am so happy. I've been working in teenage psych for a while (and complained about it here for a bit) and while it will hurt to leave the kids there, I'm just so psyched (no pun intended) that I got the job! It's an elementary school job, only 6 hours a day. I'll have to make up the time with agency work at a nearby jail. I like the idea somehow of working both at an elementary school and a jail... only one day off a week but maybe I'll rethink it once I get my credit cards paid off..
I've never been a school nurse, and kind of had to claw my way into the job, but I love kids so much and I'm pretty sure I'll adore it.
Anyway,

I live in Washington... and I talked to one woman, who referred me to another woman, to referred me to another woman, and then I didn't get a job because I wasn't in the district already, and then I did! Yay!

Start by checking all the school websites, I think...
