Hello! I am active military and weighing out the option of going to USUHS for my FNP or doing it online. While USUHS is preferred, it isn’t necessarily the easiest option for family reasons.
I’m really interested to know of solid online FNP DNP programs and experiences from students/ NPs that have completed them. Mainly interested in the quality of the program, feedback on course instruction, how often you need to be available to go to campus, etc.
I appreciate any feedback and advice! Thank you!

How long will your family situation take to resolve? Can you address this while you are on active duty and then apply to USUHS at another time?
I am asking because you have a pretty good deal financially and career wise if you can pursue USUHS: you will be getting paid while in school and a guaranteed job will be waiting for you once you are done. I have no comment on online or brick and mortal schools, but USUHS likely far outweighs both of these options for the above reasons.
Would your USUHS time count towards your retirement for time and/or pay purposes?

Would you want your family to be treated by an online provider that chose a school for family reasons? I.e. its easier lets be honest.
Go to USUHS, make the sacrifice. It's a no brainer.
Not choosing it because it’s easier. I’d like to be stationed with my spouse and due to the point in which I am at for my career, it isn’t actually favorable timing for promotion. Thank you for your reply though

A lot of reputable programs have an online DNP, especially since COVID. Johns Hopkins is one of them, another is Vanderbilt. I'd look at the schools you like, then see if they have an online DNP.

No programs are 'truly' online......and even brick and mortar are likely hybrid programs. I think there are great options available.
