Homes ADN info

Published

I have applied at holmes for ADN program to start in august. I was hoping to find some info on their program, especially clinical times. I have two young children that will have to be in daycare. TIA

I started last August at the Ridgeland campus. I don't know how different it will be at other campuses. Our school times, and I'm including clinical in this was as follows:

Monday -- out

Tuesdays -- 8-3

Wednesday -- out

Thursdays -- 8-3 (earlier start times and later end times in clinical)

Friday -- 8-12 (may have clinicals on this day)

Clinicals will not start until about the eighth or nionth week of school.

As I said earlier, this is the schedule we followed. Things may change for your class or if you are in Grenada.

I have applied at grenada, but was thinking of submitting one for Ridgeland. I just don't know about the daycare situation.

they said I would find out in May, did they let you know earlier than that?

do you mind if I ask about your scores?

I found out in May of last year. Had a 26 ACT.

Thanks. I had a 24 ACT, and have a BBA in insurance. I hope that is good enough.

Do you like the program in Ridgeland?(without naming names of course) I have heard good things like they have a very high pass rate.

I love it. The instructors are good and pretty tough, but approachable and willing to teach. With your ACTand the BBA, it looks like you'd be pretty competitive for acceptance in the program.

I appreciate all the answers. I feel much better about my chances of getting in. best of luck in finishing!

I have an ACT of 20. Do you all think that might be good enough for holmes?

I would think so. Holmes doesn't accept anyone with an ACT below 18. There is no waiting list; it is done on a weighted scale. have you applied?

I have 3.0 gpa, and 19 ACT, taken it 3 times didn't go up so its staying at 19. I already attend holmes just to get pre reqs. So what happens when I keep applying every year and never get in?

Which campus are you applying at? You can try to appeal to the director, I have heard of a few people getting in that way.

I was applying to the one at Ridgeland. I haven't yet and the only reason is because I doubt myself. Mom is a nurse and said there is no waiting list and that I could probably get in first try. (mom is a nurse too). Counselor told me the courses that I have already taken will definitely look good. She said most ppl only have A&P I and II. Plus I'm a male, 20. Not sure if that will help but what do you suggest?
