I'm trying to figure out any creative Ideas for home based businesses, nursing oriented. Any ideas are welcome, I've just been really thinking of starting some kinda home based business, but I love nursing, so the two together would be great. :)

The medico-legal field enables you to work out of your home (Life Care Planning, Legal Nurse Consulting, Nursing expert witnessing).
Medical and insurance case managers and medical bill reviewers can also work out of their home.
Although I currently work from home as a Life Care Planner, I do have an employer. I don't want my own business at this juncture. However, I could work independently if I chose to do so.
There are many other options I am sure; these are just a few I am familiar with.
Good luck,

Where are there places to apply to do this type of work at home? I'd need to know for the Toledo OH area where I can get there by public transportation.
Some good resources for medico-legal nursing are:
http://www.aalnc.org/ (American Association for Legal Nurse Consultants)
http://www.seak.com - Expert witness training and materials
http://www.aanlcp.org (American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners)
Medical bill auditing is another home-based business for R.N.s. AIM Healthcare is a large company that does medical bill auditing nationally and this is home-based.
Most home based jobs are going to require some travel, especially any legal nurse consulting/Life Care Planning/expert witness work, case management, etc. If you are self-employed, you will absolutely have to travel to market your business.
