Hey guys! This is for anyone applying to Holy Family ABSN 14-month cohort (second degree for non-nurses) for the Fall of 2021. It's a bit early but nows the time to ask questions and get to know each other, etc. Feel free to share anything on your mind !

Hi! Took me less than 24 hours from completing my application to get HFU's decision back. Marie is on top of it haha I was very surprised. I was waitlisted because they had hit their max amount of acceptances by the time I had applied so now I'm just waiting it out to see if a seat opens up ?

I am on the waitlist for the fall! I am waiting to see if a spot opens up and if not I will be deferring to Spring of 2022! So excited to get started either way!

Hi all!! I am also on the waitlist for Fall of 2021 and if I do not receive a seat, I will likely defer for the Spring of 2022. Does anyone have an idea of how many students get out on the waitlist and/or the chances that people get pulled from the waitlist? I know Marie told me it is pretty much just a waiting game at this point! Good luck to everyone else on the waitlist!

hey! I’m also on the waiting list and have been for almost 2 months now so I’m pretty much just planning for Spring at this point! Excited to hopefully meet you someday! 
I am on the waitlist for the fall! I am waiting to see if a spot opens up and if not I will be deferring to Spring of 2022! So excited to get started either way!

I have been on the waitlist since November so I am really hoping a spot opens up, but if not I will defer to Spring and hope to get in then! I know they said they cannot guarantee acceptance even when deferring! Fingers crossed!

Hi! I was on the waitlist for a couple weeks before I was admitted mid March. I sent my deposit in at the end of March. You should ask Marie where you are on the waitlist currently! I think the waitlist has pretty decent movement anyways but she said people seem to be committing more due to COVID. you may be just fine for this fall, I'd just ask. Best of luck ?

Thanks for the help! Do you know if she would be able to tell me? I know I emailed her previously but she did not give me my current spot on the waitlist.

I called and she told me what number I was when I heard that I was accepted to the waitlist back in March! Also I asked her about being re-evaluated for admission if I do defer for the Spring and she basically said not to worry too much about it and that the hard part is getting accepted the first time! She just said that they can’t “guarantee” that you’ll be accepted for the Spring!!

Has anyone on the waitlist deferred to Spring 2022 yet? I am eagerly awaiting a spot to open up but I am worried they won’t and I will have to defer. I am hoping that deferring may give me a better chance and getting a spot in the Spring 2022 cohort.
