Hm...now scared, later happy, then scared again...

hello all, here I am reading every single post and as the title said I am in a moment happy and convinced that will get into program, but then I read some more posts and I think oh my god there is no way I can do this....

So far I finished my 2 pre-recs (Psy and Math) and I got an A's . But I am thinking I did not get all 100's I got 95+ I know it is still A but would that f. me up when I have to apply for program. I am attending BMCC and honestly i can not wait to start che in fall. (I took ENG 101 as well but with no excitement what so ever.)

also, anyone that knows are we going to have lab for this CHE (pre-rec) and is there a lab coat/uniform required for the lab? Sorry for the venting but I had to. Thanks for listening.

I can't answer your question on the lab coat but hopefully someone can.

I just wanted to let you know an A is an A. Whether it's a 92% or a 99%. My college looks at the letter grade that you received in the class and not the percentage. I don't know if other schools are the same.

The range of emotions that your going through right now sound like excellent emotional prep for working in the nursing field, IMHO that is.

Good luck!

Thanks for the responce.....Grade issue makes me feel much better and for a lab coat/uniform I was just curious realy it is not immportant what so ever!.

Thanks again.

Your welcome. I am a bit obsessive about my grades and I had an instructor tell me that about an A being an A. I wish all of my teachers were like her.

I have not heard of needing a uniform for chem, but a lab coat i have.

Keep getting A's wether its 90 or 100 just keep getting them and you are well on your way...

Good luck

Thank you so much....I was just on school site and checked out CHE 121...I am nervous....I have to find good studying patern. I do not want to just remember everithing I want to understand and remember as well. I have to do it and I can do it!.

Thanks ladies and gent's

What type of Chem are you taking?

I'll be taking Concepts of Chemistry, God willing, and I'm thinking about learning the tables now, it's been so long since I've learned them hopefully they're still tucked away in my long term memory somewhere. lol

It will be:

CHE 121 Fundamentals of General, Organic, & Biological Chemistry . They have syllabus at the school site and terminology is bugging me already  . I was good at che in elementary school (we study the tables and just basic of chemistry) but i am afraid of terminology now, you know different country -different language. I have to prepare flesh cards!

I think we are taking same or similar class.

Yeah it's probably quite similar. What other classes are you taking this next round?

Just that and ENG 101. After that I only have left BIO 425 of pre reqs and after that I can only pray to get into nursing. let me ask you a q. On my advisement sheet said that i can take the speech class but that class is part of nursing program. Does that mean that i can take Nursing classes even if I am not accepted into program?

How about you? What school are you attending?

I know the catalogue for my school is very misleading, well it was to me. It lists the ADN track program and lists the pre-req's but nothing for the classes. I would try and called the nursing department at your school and see if they can clarify their program. The programs seem to vary so much from school to school.

I'm attending my local community college here in Illinois but I need to apply to the University's BSN program as a backup.

Thanks for the response. Hm, when I look online there are all pre reqs that I need to take and on the next page there are all the classes for two years that I need to take. And, when I pass the one it tells me what next I can take. So I pass mat and psy of pre reqs and now it said that I can take ENg101 and che 121 (of the remaining pre reqs) and 2 additional speach classes that are set for the first year in pre clinical. Hm..I will call them on Monday.

How far are you with the program?
