Hillsborough Community College - Spring 2014

Published

Hello all,

I wanted to start a thread for those applying to HCC's Spring 2014 nursing program. I am a stay at home mom. I know its early but I wanted to get as much info as possible. The deadline isn't until 6/1. I'm a current HCC student. My pre-req GPA is 3.57 (all A's 1 B and 1 C ), I'm hoping that this is good enough to get me a spot in the program.

What is everyone elses GPA? I heard its lower for the Spring.

Hi my name is Jennifer... I just discovered this thread for HCC spring nursing students! I'm hoping to get in at the Plant City campus. I've been checking my mailbox daily, but I have still not received my letter. Just a little about myself... I've been married to my best friend for almost 5 years and we have 2 beautiful children! This is a second degree for me. I have a bachelors degree in Mass Communications from USF. My plans are to get my ADN and then move on and get my BSN through the online program at USF. I'm almost finished with the pre-reqs for the BSN program. I work as a nurses aid at LRMC. I'm really excited to start the nursing program!!

Is there anyone else that put the Plant City campus as their 1st choice?

Welcome Jennifer and good luck!

nothing today ...

Well thanks for letting us know :(

What I took from the email is that ALL applicants will be notified no later than the second week of October. Maybe I should have mentioned that she capitalized ALL more than once. I'm guessing this means that we ALL (accepted, placed as an alternates, or rejected)will get our letters maybe the beginning/middle of next week & those accepted have time to decline or something if they choose to & then alternates will get their chances to accept no later than mid October. So by then ALL applicants will know their status & have time to get the appropriate immunizations & CPR & everything before orientation which I believe is in November. Idk I could be completely wrong but it's just what I'm guessing...
