I wanted to start a thread for those applying to HCC's Spring 2014 nursing program. I am a stay at home mom. I know its early but I wanted to get as much info as possible. The deadline isn't until 6/1. I'm a current HCC student. My pre-req GPA is 3.57 (all A's 1 B and 1 C ), I'm hoping that this is good enough to get me a spot in the program.
What is everyone elses GPA? I heard its lower for the Spring.
Well, I was going to quote from the last few years threads and come up an approximation; however we've completely blown through the last three years letter dates by a good few days. So.. I can't give anything more than a educated guess.
End of October with a remote possibility at early November at the latest? I just can't see how they could do it any later than that and still have all the I's dotted and the T's crossed.
But who am I but a fart in the air conditioning..:)

What did you notice on your profile, marriselda? My profile looks like it did after all my documents were received and the A.S. NURB.BASIC (Applicant) was added. Do you have something else?
Well it is a long story.... I was originally an applicant for the Fall class and I only made it as alternate. At first I didn't suspect a thing because many of my classmates were also on the alternate list with a fairly decent GPA. However, as many with lower GPA started to get accepted I became suspicious that something had gone wrong. After, many many tries to get someone to help me I finally met with a manager out at PC that took the time to investigate what was happening. I was been penalized for a course I took back in the 1999 that was mistakenly counted against me. I finally received an email this week, stating that the transcript office had correct the error and that it would not count against me, hence boosting my GPA higher. However, the kicker is....my profile has completely disappeared, it shows I have no active programs. So, yes I am freaking out, going through an emotional roller-coaster. I am praying that this is a glitch... please start a chain of prayers for on behalf. I would be devastated for this to happen again, due to an error.

I can't believe we still haven't received anything!! this is frustrating. The wait till mid sept was bad enough, and now it's the 3rd week and nothing.
