Hillsborough Community College - Spring 2014

Hello all,

I wanted to start a thread for those applying to HCC's Spring 2014 nursing program. I am a stay at home mom. I know its early but I wanted to get as much info as possible. The deadline isn't until 6/1. I'm a current HCC student. My pre-req GPA is 3.57 (all A's 1 B and 1 C ), I'm hoping that this is good enough to get me a spot in the program.

What is everyone elses GPA? I heard its lower for the Spring.

Hola fellow HCC Spring '14 applicants!

I've been refreshing WebAdvisor all week watching the grades roll in. I'll be shooting off my application once they have all been posted. Does anyone have any suggestions (some people have said that if you drop a pre-addressed postcard w/ stamp..) for tracking your application through the maze and quicksand until letters are sent out? It's going to be a rough summer for me unless I have some idea how things are going!

I'm applying with a 3.7.

@Jolisa616...Thanks, for Coll Alg I took A. Adjiri n Ybor and Micro was D. Sabio in Plant City. Both are GREAT professors.

Has anyone heard of teaching quality / program quality differences between the campuses? I'm shooting for the night/weekend option right now, but have Dale Mabry afternoons as my second choice.

@ Deltacrux....Ive talked to several of the students currently in the program and they each say their campus is the best:)...so i really dont know what to think. Im also applying for nights/weekends class so its DM campus for me since the Spring 2014 nights/weekends class is starting @ DM campus. I personaly like the South Shore campus best but thats not an option for me since im doing nights/weekends. Ive taken several classes there at SS and realy like the professors there as well as the environment.

Hope everyone had a good Cinco de Mayo weekend...:) I started a Facebook page for our class so we can all stay in touch and share information. . Its going to be a long summer so let get to know each other and help each other out through the process.

Still waiting on my WebAdvisor 'Documents' page to show they have my application packet. Anyone had their status changed to show that they had received it? I know from the information sheet that was by the dropbox that it will read, "Not received" until they review and place you -- but I don't even have the documents listed yet (just my financial aid stuff).

Final grades have finally been posted so I will be droping off my aplication tomorrow morning at the DM campus. I know it will taka some time before we see anything on Web Advisor so i will keep an eye on my bank account to see when they cash my check.

@Deltacrux...when did you drop off your app?
