Hillsborough Community College RN program fall 2013

Ah, mid to late April??? That's so late. Hopefully they stick to their word this time because I've applied to other schools and they need to know if I'll be attending for Fall by May 1st!

Before 5/1? ugh! I hope it will be sooner than later, then. Is your response binding in any way, because if not, you could always accept and then retract it if you decided on HCC. Where else did you apply?

Omg this is aweful.....just horrible.....at least we know it will be another month...and left in the dark....thank you sooosooo much

As of right now, just to Florida Gulf Coast's BSN program! I should be receiving something in the mail from them either this week or the next. Around the same time HCC's should be coming in..

Hello Guys,

I am too applying for the Fall 2013 program and I currently have a 3.8 gpa. I read the last posts and I dont understand why the admissions department is having a meeting before mailing out the acceptance letters. Do you guys think that they had many more applicants this semester than usual? Also, someone posted that registration for classes starts tomorrow. Do you guys know if we will be able to register for the nursing classes right after we receive the letter? Or will it be after orientation? I am so anxious!! and having to wait this long is killing me :no:

Hi, I applied to HCC Dale Mabry campus with a 3.8 gra. I just recently emailed the health sciences department about when would be receiving acceptance letters and they replied saying that the dates to be expected are beginning April no later than mid April. Hope that this helps I'm anxiously waiting as well good luck to everyone hope to be meeting some of you soon

I don't know exactly how the process works, but according to the e-mail I received from Health Sciences, it sounds like the admin office reviews and preps the apps (within 12 weeks of the application deadline). After that is completed, the committee meets to make the actual selections. Don't know if there are more applicants than usual this semester. I imagine we will find out about registration when we receive our letters. But for now...we wait... :nailbiting:

HI everyone. I applied for Plant City day as my number 1. I have a 4.0 along with an AA, but I'm still afraid that something will have gotten messed up. LOL Does anyone know if our acceptance/denial will show up in "my documents" before we receive our letters?

I'm worried that there are a lot of high GPAs this semester....I try not to think about it but whats taking so long..i shouldnt let it stress me bc there is nothing i can do about it but this is a huge life changing "letter". Just posting frustration ,

The only documents that will show up in "My Documents" are the ones that you've submitted. Unfortunately, we'll only be receiving our acceptance/denial letters in the mail. I feel like it would be so much easier/faster to just send the letter in an email!

Waiting, waiting, waiting...I felt better after I got my note back from them yesterday saying it would be mid to end of April. Then I read Dwarren727's post, and it got me going again...lol. One thing is for sure, they are working on it, and I have no doubt they are doing all they can to get done as quickly as they can. They are probably sooooo sick of hearing from all of us. :dead: Chin up everyone...this will all be over very soon. :yes:

Good afternoon Ms. Warren,

Thank you for your interest in HCC’s Nursing Basic Fall 2013 Program. We understand that you are anxious to hear from us and that you are moving or need to move based on the fact of your acceptance to the Program. We will do everything possible to inform you of your status as soon as possible. We are still processing applications. We ask that you allow an estimated 8-12 weeks from the application deadline date (January 15th, 2013) to completely enter all of your documents. The Health Sciences Admissions Committee will be meeting soon, and then our official response to ALL applicants will be mailed out informing students of their status. We expect our official response to the students that applied to the Nursing Basic Fall 2013 Program towards to beginning - mid of April. No further responses to student inquiries will be made until then.
