Hello! I was wondering if anyone else is planning on applying to the HCC nursing program for the spring of 2018? I just finished this rough semester and I was hoping there would be other people on here that I can talk to about this upcoming goal! (:
I'm on the dean's list too at my current school. i'm not sure if they'll take that into consideration since it's not in the application. your TEAS test is competitive in my opinion, but apparently for the Fall semester, the GPA cut off was 3.667 so let's hope it's lower do spring. but people with 3.57s-3.6 were put on as an alternative and I know 1 3.57 person got in
Thank you very much for clearing that up. I hope I get in at this point. I heard that the GPA cutoff was a 3.6. I am a bit nervous about that but I will try not to think about it so much. I am taking classes in the fall so hopefully that will help keep my mind off of it. I heard that less people usually apply for the spring but I heard that last year it was the biggest it has been.
I know that 3 people with a 3.57 who were waitlisted just got their acceptance letters. I think you will be just fine, keep doing what you're doing and try not to stress too much. One thing to keep in mind is normally for the program they only take your prerequisite GPA. However, if you are in the running with another student who has the same GPA, they compare your cumulative GPA.
Hey guys!
I'm one of the 3.57s that got in. Keep your GPA as high as possible and don't lose faith in yourself. Apparently spring and fall 2017 have been the highest GPA cutoffs. I know the past two falls cutoff were like 3.2-3.3 (per advisors) so there is always hope.
If you got a b in algebra just take precalc and get an A ... that will cancel out the b and raise your GPA.
Good luck y'all.
Good afternoon, I was planning on turning in my application today. I have some questions if anyone doesn't mind.
We do not need to add our high school transcripts in with the application? When first coming to HCC I brought in my transcripts because they needed themso am I okay for that??
All we need to turn in is the application, our teas test scores, and the money?

Does anyone know how labs work at HCC? I see that they have "open lab" times, but do we have a specific time we need to be there?
