Hillsborough Community College Nursing - Spring 2018

Published

Hello! I was wondering if anyone else is planning on applying to the HCC nursing program for the spring of 2018? I just finished this rough semester and I was hoping there would be other people on here that I can talk to about this upcoming goal! (:

I would at least take some practice tests. I only took one in preparation and ended up getting a 77

I am taking my teas on the 27th. Any tips you have? I would gladly accept them please.

just make sure you actually study/review and do any practice test if possible. It all helps.

Thank you guys very much. I am doing that right now. Sorry about my late reply. I wonder how many other people are applying as well

Probably quite a few. I think they said around or above 300 applied for last spring.

A little over 400 applied last spring. But apparently that doesn't normally happen

Is it me or iare these applicant numbers and GPA cutoffs mind blowing? Like they can't always be this high right?

It's pretty crazy. I think they're going to stay around the same, since Nursing is becoming more and more popular, or even get higher

Gosh... almost impossible if you don't have above a 3.6. I'm hoping to raise my GPA with a math class. We shall see.

If you're going for the fall cycle, yes. But from what I understand spring is always lower and this past spring was the highest it's ever been.

I'm definitely applying for spring if I don't get a call. I'm just planning ahead I guess. Lol. I need to have a plan B in place so I'm not too upset if things don't work out my way.

I'm actually surprised I'm handling being waitlisted this well. I just want more information.

Me too. That's a good plan. I actually did the same thing, Itook trig to replace my college algebra grade. So my gpa is as high as it can get unfortunately.

It is really stressful. But it's out of our hands. I'm emailing that form tomorrow

Good! I figured out my scanner and did it a day or so ago. I'm going to write an email to try to get some info and see what they have my cumulative GPA as. I just don't want to be surprised if they say it is lower than expected.
