Hello all HCC Fall 2011 hopefuls! I have been following the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 threads and thought maybe it was time to start Fall 2011 now that the application process has started.
I just turned my application in this past week and received my confirmation notice in the mail. Anyone else out there that has turned in their application?
What are your plans over the next 8 months to prepare for the first semester (provided we get in)?
Hi guys,
I am in NP1 right now and am absolutely LOVING it! The program is intense to say the least, the first couple of months are the absolute worst, you practically have an exam each week starting with the medication calculation exam. The med. calc. exam to me was easy and I can not encourage you enough to study hard for this test because it is a highly weighted test and will put you on good footing in the course if you do well. Do as much reading as you can in advance from your fundamentals book, it may not make too much sense right now but reading will make comprehending later a whole lot easier. Get yourselves a good NCLEX style study guide, I like the success books (fundamentals success, and med surge success) As I am sure you all know your tests will be in this style of questions and does take time to get used to.
I feel for you guys, the wait to get that letter in your mail box is absolutely excruciating, but it is so worth it! Have fun shopping for all your nursing school goodies, I know I did. Good luck to you all!!!!
So excited for today. Chall, I'm at work and I'm relying on you to stalk, stalk, stalk your mail carrier!
Anyone else get their mail early? I swear, I think I'm the last stop on my my carrier's route. If I had a planning period today, I would stop by the post office, because I don't think my mail carrier leaves in his truck until noon.

Definitely not happy for the rest of us, but super excited about LovingLife!
What can we do to keep our minds OFF of the mail system until Monday? Ugh! I just jogged 4 miles and thought about school the entire time. Hopefully the Sarasota Fair will keep my mind off of things tonight.
Or maybe just a truck load of alcohol. j/k.
Hope you guys hear more good news and try to have a relaxing weekend.
By the way, last year, the letter were mailed and received the following day in Tampa. Grrrr.
