Hi,I am new to this as I have just decided the time is right to return to work - post children. I have found a great RN refresher course I intend to register for. But, one of the pre-requiists is a current BLS health Care Provider Certificate. As I haven't worked for several years I do not have one. I have done the usual Red Crouse CPR courses so as not to become too useless but nothing aimed at Health Providers! Does any one know where I can take such a course in Browadrd county?
Thnak you for any ideas.
The Red Cross has a course called "CPR for the Professional Rescuer" where they do CPR for the infant, child, and adult and also go through using AEDs. It counted towards my BCLS requirement for nursing school so maybe that class would work for you. The American Heart Association also has a similar class.
On the same note do you think they have a online CPR class. Just a thought.

Most hospitals education/nurse ed depts teach it as well considering almost everyone they employ has to have it.

Broward Community College offers BLS and ACLS. I'm not sure if they offer it at all three campuses, but I know they offer it at Central Campus in Davie, because I took it there. :)Richele
