Hey there everyone. I was online trying to find a cheat sheet to use during clinicals, and came across this site. I'm glad I did, and I'm glad I decided to become a member.. I am in my last year of nursing school (for my RN), and I am about to lose my damn mind...I am so sick of the instructors, the lectures, the careplans, and the tests...(Don't even get me started on the tests!!) I am just hoping that somehow I can get through it without failing....UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I just thought I would say "hi" to everyone...

I haven't started NS yet. I am going to start next fall. I was due to start this year but my hubby deployed and so I deferred it a year. But I am still feeling your stress. Just a different kind. :D

GL with the rest of your year!!

welcome honey! I am in my first semester LPN and I AM WITH YOU! Believe it or not, i am already tired of the tests every week, the lectures even though they are full of good information, tired of it all and I AM NEW and have 2 years to go! It is SO much information and to keep being told that half of it doesnt even go with you in the real world. I am going to see a therapist i need some anxiety pills LOL.. You will get through it, it isnt easy just do what yuo have to to make it through hun! GL honey be strong

Welcome aboard! My best advice is to be sure to set time aside for YOU! I give myself 30 minutes in the morning to enjoy my coffee in silence and an hour each evening to zone out with a magazine or some TV (usually some type of medical show!).

This site has been immensely helpful. Take advantage of the knowledge the great people here are willing to share!

RNhopeful that was so sweet of you! You do need time for yourself, it just doesn't matter how much time i give myself i always seem overwhelmed. My brain is on nursing overload LOl.. but it helps to take 1 full day to yourself a week with NO nursing AT ALL! Get your feet done, something relaxing away from the work. Just like anything else! Good tip

I too am on the last bit of road to becoming an rn and feel the exact same way. I could puke! I'm just tying a knot and hanging on right now. I'm part time and just finished my last big theory class and barely made it. It was tough, but I just feel so burnt out with school.

Your not alone! Good luck for a quick finish to us all.

im done dec 18th i feel your pain!!!! hang in there!! we are almost done!!!!! Good luck to you!!:nuke:

Thanks guys. It's always nice to hear from others who are the same situation. Nursing students/nurses are a certain "breed" of people, and I think we are the only ones who understand eachother. Sort of like a family, ya know? 4 more weeks until this semester is over with...Let's just try not to have a nervous breakdown until then.

I am about to start and the pre reqs have drained me!

thank god for vitamin B and cafeine!

the great thing is that Ihave pilled up vacation time at work that i have to use it untill the end of the year, so i will have 4 day weekends starting this week untill the end of the year!

i wish i could carry them over for next year, so when i am really stressed out i could use it!

but i guess it is good to have a break before starting! i only have 1 year to go on my "core" nursing classes!

I can totally relate!

I am in week 11 of the 16 week Semester. I am in my 1st semester of the 4 for my ADN program.

It is taking a toll on me for sure, I am trying to get my second wind for the remaining 5 weeks but it is hard. 3 more exams and a final and it will be over for a month. YEAH! I am SOOO looking forward to winter break!

Hang in there... just keep your eye on the prize and keep the tunnel vision to the finish line!

Hey girl. My husband is in the military, too. I have 2 small kiddos, and he is always gone, and doing the whole nursing school thing with that on top of it is NOT EASY!!! Some days I feel like I am about to explode with all of the stress. Let me know if you every need advice. Good luck!

I'm in the same boat. I'm in my last semester and completely burnt out. Even during my days off I think about NS and how much I'm hating it right now. I wake up in the middle of the night with a pounding heart and that's on the nights when I can actually get to sleep.

But I keep telling myself to get through November and the worst of it will be over. Hang in there and just remember you are not alone.
