Hi! I need three nurses to answer a question for a homework assignment for school.
Question: What is critical thinking?
I also need you to give an example.
Thank you so much!

I think this post is the definition of irony.

The "critical thinking" area of my brain agrees.
Perhaps this was a learning experience for the OP after all.

Ha ha indeed...
Honestly, I'm not sure what I would gain, but I guess more knowledge on what critical thinking is? Haha

Critical thinking involves the ability to pull in many different things to help see what's going on in a broader perspective. Again, the point if this assignment is only partly to expand your understanding of critical thinking per se. It is also to begin your long journey into assuming the role of the nurse.
You begin by talking with nurses (face to face) about an important aspect of what they are about, how they see it, and how they use it. This should get you thinking about how it would be for you to be in their shoes.
You also have an early experience with talking to people you don't know. You will do this every day as a nurse. If you do it once, you might learn something, but it's more likely you'll just check it off the list and move to your next bit of homework. Doing it three times is more likely to give you enough variety that you learn a bit about your interview and listening skills, too, another critical part of the nursing role.
So remember this as you go through your professional education. Just about every experience, assignment, and setting is explicitly chosen to give you multiple lessons, not just one. Keep your eyes open for these multipliers, and you'll find yourself, in the end ... a much better critical thinker.

If you truly need a definition of a nurses opinion on critical thinking then reread this persons post. Her reply was the epitome of the definition of critical thinking. I have been a CNA for two years and an LPN for sixteen years. I am one year into obtaining my Associates Degree of Nursing. Seriously read her post. Through her response she showed you critical thinking. It's not just thinking outside the box. It is not using a box at all. Each aspect must be addressed/ variable outcomes accessed and aim to always be looking at all possibilities.
Which person's post? Mine? Some other?
School assignment deadline passed. Don't need AN no more, no more.
