Hi Everyone

I just wanted to let eveyone know that I haven't jumped ship.I did however stay home from clinical today, just couldn't deal with it. I had a rough day yesterday and needed a break. Anyways I am having trouble in A&P. I walked out of class on WED. Just got sick of the crap being flung around. I needed to re-group. I have so much stress that I feel like I am at my limit! Anymore and I will have a melt down. How is everyone else doing?

oh I am so sorry to hear that I sure hope that you take a hot bath put you feet up,run around the block screaming if you have to but regroup and you will get through it.

Hi Rhona,

I am a semester 1 nursing student in Canada. I know exactly what you mean. I am overwhelmed with homework, prez, midterms etc as well. I skipped a couple classes too last week to finish off my essays for submission. This program is so intense. It really makes me admire current nurses for pulling off 4 years of school. Just take it easy Rhona (one day at a time). You only have a few more weeks left before the end of the semester; it will be too bad if you give now.

Hang in there.

Hang in there rhona. I haven't started the nursing portion of classes yet. But I am feeling pretty overwhelmed too. Kinda burnt out on school.

I got my mid term grades and have been in a funk ever since.

Microbiology Lecture--77% UGG!!!

Microbiology Lab 89%

Business Statistics 86%

Anthropology 95%

Concepts of PE 95%

Total Fitness 100%

I can deal with all of that except that 77 % in Micro lecture. I have been in a funk ever since I saw that grade. I'm pretty annoyed at myself right now and am having a hard time even studying..when I know I need to.

Good luck rhona. Hang in there. I'm sorry you are having a hard time right now. As I remember A&P was pretty rough., with the teacher I had anyway (but that was 13 years ago). I'm sure it is just as bad now if not worse!

Hi Rhona1

You have summed up my feelings exactly! There has been a lot going on in my class recently, and every day there is some new drama going on. I have been dreading even waking up in the morning on school days. I don't have any advice except to just hang in there and hope it gets better soon. Feel free to PM me if you ever want to vent!

Rhona,

Please take some time for yourself to relieve the stress. I know that when I let my resentment for the nursing program build up, it has a negative academic effect on me.

I just keep thinking that if I graduate in June from nursing school, I will have actually FINISHED something in my life.

Hang in there, I sometimes feel the need to take a time out as well, there is just so much trying to be done at once... Plus I only just and I mean I got 8% above the pass rate in my last essay so now I have to make time to 'talk' about how this made me feel and what I am going to do about it.

Let us know how you get on... but don't stay out of the water for too long, becasue it, makes it that much harder to jump back in.

TAKE a BREAK!!!!!! Figure out what best helps releave your stress and DO IT.....

Hope you feel better!!!

Rhona,

Completely understand where you are coming from. My A&P class is terrible and I don't know if I will make it or not. My Health Assessment Class is ok though. But I've been stressing so much lately, I've actually been considering quitting and going back to my job and finishing my business degree (which they would pay for). I have to make that decision my December 30th since that is when I am due back. I am trying to hang on, taking it one day at a time.

Take care!!!!

Hi everyone. Thank you very much for the kind and wise words. I have had my break and you know what it was the best thing in the word for me. I will get my second exam grade in A&P back on Monday and to be honest I am a little worried but there is not much I can do about it know. What's done, is done and there is no going back. I feel much better today. Here's to a better week this week!
