Just wondering who else is applying for HCC CNA to LVN transition program for Spring 2015?
On January 8th, we'll already be there...survival camp is from the 5th-9th..so itll be done while we're there. In my letter, there's an attached sheet of the uniform place, called "career uniforms". The prices are on there.
Hi there @ Wilkinschic, congratulations!! We are in! I have a question to ask you, did u already do your physical check up? I really need to ask you for a favor in case you haven't done it yet. One of the nurses at my clinic really messed up my physical sheet by confusing it with another patient and I am so freaked out about it, it is a total mess. I just don't know what to do. I really pray to God you could do me the favor the let me make a blank copy of it. I would really appreciate it.
Thank you Smartypants22....I was just curious about the kit and what was in it...Thank you for all your help. I pray God bless all your endeavors! Good luck on your NCLEX! Please keep me posted on your results for the NCLEX! Congrats on your pinning...I'm proud of you, and don't even know you personally, but anyone that went through what you've endured for a year, is worth giving praises!! Keep me posted!
I just paid for my background check and fingerprinting and would like to know if I did correctly... I went to the website, put the information, selected Nursing Licensing, then paid. It was like $43. I guess my question is, did it pay for the background check and fingerprinting all together? And I can't do my fingerprinting until 12.17 because the places are either closed or full schedule. I don't have anything on my record, so hopefully they get it back quickly.
@Smartypants, you have been SO helpful to us all and I know we are all so grateful! Also congrats on your pinning! I bet it was so exciting and yes good luck on your nclex!! You will do great! To the rest of us thanks for all the encouragement and help and guys we are only a few weeks away! I know we will be great!

Yes, we are done in December. No, you cannot work right after pinning, you have to wait until you register for NCLEX and then you can get a graduate vocational nurse permit in your email, and work as a GVN for at least 75 days then take the NCLEX and pass it on the first try to continue as an LVN.
There are clinicals in every semester, 1st semester, they are on Fridays, 2nd semester, Wednesday/Thursday, and you might have mornings or nights, and if you don't have it Wednesday/Thursday, you could end up with 12 hour Saturday shift, I never did, but the people in my group that did, didn't like it because those hours are so long, and same for 3rd semester, either Wednesday/Thursday mornings or nights or Saturday 12 hour shift.
Your family may miss you because you're studying so much, but it's worth it in the end.
1st semester, you'll have classes Monday-Thursday from at least 8-4, then clinical on Friday, 2nd semester, 2 classes are only 8 weeks because they're the easier classes, and then the other 2 classes are the full 12 weeks because they're the harder classes, 3rd semester, you'll only have 3 classes to worry about and clinicals.
