Hi!! I plan on applying again, I wasn't accepted for Fall. I had a 3.68, cumulative score of 85% on HESI, CNA license, and letter of recommendation from the ICU I work on. I'm very disappointed after everything I experienced during the pandemic.... I plan on applying again but I'm applying to WCCCD and Chamberlin. If I don't get in this Winter, I will be going straight for my BSN.
I didn’t get a chance to take the HESI nor did I have any medical experience but I was highly positive I would have gotten it but it sure didn’t happen LOL. I can’t believe with all of that and they still didn’t accept you! I start Chamberlain at the end of August and so far I really like it, I’ll be done in 2 years. I did go ahead and reapplied at HFCC but I highly doubt they will accept me so I’m happy where I’m at. I kinda wished I had paid more attention to WCCCD but I didn’t. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Yeah it sucks being denied, I legit thought I was getting in too. I personally don't think they should of waived the HESI. It caused an increase in applicants and I don't understand why because it's just a standardized test. Ms. Julie said there was over 600 people who applied, and I believe everyone that got accepted had a previous degree. But that's awesome you get to start at Chamberlin! I regret not reaching out to them sooner. It might be best to just go straight for your BSN. Is the tuition as expensive as it says online? I would be transferring in like 50 credits but I think I'm calculating it wrong. But seriously, best of luck to you at Chamberlin! 2 years for the BSN might be worth it in the long run :) I have an appointment with them soon, so I hope it works out with them if HFC doesn't work out.
I agree, waiving the HESI exam screwed us over big time plus it’s waived again for Winter 2021. Yes it’s EXPENSIVE!! They are very straight forward with their prices, no hidden or surprise fees pop up. I transferred in with credits as well, not as many as you have though. I love the fact that you can still complete whichever GedEd classes along with your nursing classes at the same time and I also like the fact that classes are accelerated. When you get the call, they will go over the cost with you. So far my professors seem nice and they provide tons of resources to help where needed. If you have any questions let me know and with your GPA and positive you will get accepted at Chamberlain. My GPA was either 3.3 or 3.4.
Yes, I like that is accelerated too! That might be the next best option for me... But I had a nurse tell me the other day the reason why she went to a more expensive school was because time is money and she will always have a job to pay off the student loans. So that made it sound a little better to me. I just hope that my student loans will cover the cost of the program until I graduate. Thanks so much, I will definitely reach out.

I agree, I’m 36 I just don’t have the time to be be doing a bunch of prerequisites and still not get accepted into a program.

Well damn! Mines was lower than a 3.6 but I also assumed taking all my classes there would have helped as well but I guess not. But if that’s the case I don’t think I will be getting in for January.
