Hey December Grads....how's the last semester going?

Hey all! Our final exam is on Halloween and I cannot wait!!!! :w00t:We technically have 11 days left of class (including clinicals), and that is it! Within that time we have one more exam and a final, a few papers that need to be written and several more assignments. This week we are on fall break and because everything has been so hectic this semester, I sooo needed it! Everyone is starting to get on eachothers nerves...I guess it's senioritis. :uhoh3: After Halloween we will complete our 120 hours of precepting, but we don't have any more lecture or have to return to school until our pinning ceremony (Dec. 14th)!!!! :balloons: We won't have our graduation ceremony until May because our school only has one a year. Atleast we're having a pinning at the end.

So, I was wondering how everyone's semester was faring and what your schedule looks like? Are you getting excited and as ready for it be over as I am? I'm so burned out!!!!!!! Bring on the FINAL!!

Doing fine, but not as focused as past semesters. I have 3 more weeks of clinical, then on to preceptorship. Pinning is Dec 19th. 2 monts, 1 week and 6 days... LOL:lol2:

I'm not focused anymore either. I'm all pooped out and feel more exausted than I've ever felt. I'm so burned out that I barely studied for my last exam and I failed it. It's the first nursing test I've failed and you know what...I don't even really care! I still have an 89 in the class, as long as I'm making above a 78, I don't give a hoot. lol Sad, but true. I'm so over it!

I'm a complete type A personality- so for me, it will be a huge acheivement to not care about not having all A's. This is my last chance, and by golly I'm going to get over it! LOL

I have a 92% right now, and I am ok with that- finally! LOL

I hear ya! I am to the point where I am thinking, "As long as I get a C, I will still graduate." Not that I *want* a C, but I don't have the energy to bust my bottom anymore for those extra points. School is aggravating because of some issues too frustrating to mention.

Preceptorship is wonderful, on the other hand. My preceptor is awesome, the unit is wonderful and starting to grow on me. I went from not wanting to be on this unit at all to seriously considering working here when I graduate.

Pinning is Nov. 16th and graduation is Nov. 17th. My dad's side of the family has turned my graduation into an excuse for a family reunion, so all of my great uncles, my grandpa, and my aunt and cousin are flying in from all over just to see me. :) I can't wait!

And after graduation.. I get a puppy to keep me company while I stay home and study for NCLEX! 40 days till pinning!!

A labrador retriever. I am still picking out names. :) In between studying I have been reading books on training a puppy. I will be the best doggy mommy on the block!

Good luck! i got a yellow lab last May and he is still in the puppy phase. He still thinks he's 5 pounds and can jump in your lap! LOL

Our final is on Nov. 5. We have tomorrow's plus 3 more weeks of clincals, 2 more regular exams, and an End of Program ATI test on Nov. 12 that we must get greater than 50 percentile on in order to graduate. :angryfire I'm not worried about that for me, but I am for others. Then we have 120 hrs of preceptorship. Pinning is December 14, Graduation is the 15th.

I am soooooo over this school crap! I want to be done!!!

I just found out that my preceptorship is in the ICU! Yikes!! Excited but very scared! LOL

This semester has proven to be the toughest yet. I can hardly wait for Dec. 14. I know I will make it but I have days when I have my doubts. I have a friend that will be grduating the AASN program with me. We have already gotten our first RN job at Lebauner Medical in Memphis. We are excited!:lol2: and am looking foward to being out of school! Good luck to you, hope you have a holiday.

*Sigh* I am sooooo tired! This semester has been my worst in terms of organization. However, classes are over, I'm currently on preceptorship, and I.CAN.NOT.WAIT!!!!!! Senioritis is one of the worst diseases to get. I did my community service project (I just have to write the paper), I did my professional meeting (I have to REwrite the paper cuz my prof lost it :uhoh3:), I still have to work on my group project with my groupmates, and I have to get my sit pass and apply for the job I was offered (I still have to apply solely for the policies/protocol) and then I'm DONE!!! Pinning is on December 8th and I'm ecstatic!!!!! :balloons:
