I need some advice. I have 2 more chances left to take the HESI. This will be my 3rd time taking it at the end of this month. I don't know what my problem is. I just know that I need some guidance. Could someone please help me. Not passing the HESI can be so discouraging :cry:

I passed Hesi this Monday!!!! I can't believe it but I did.

I read Saunders NCLEX book, HESI book, and did a lot of questions from NCLEX 3500, and HESI questions.

There were questions about peds, psych, OB, meds, not as many about med-surg and fundamentals as I thought. Go over the test strategies, I missed some questions I know just by reading to much into the questions, but I did pick the right answers for something i did not know just by eliminating the other answers. I passed the exit HESI about 2 weeks ago and to be honest I used 2 books - Saunders Comprehensive Review (Blue book) and the HESI book. With the Sauders book I did the quizzes at the end of each section and briefly went through the chapter reading info I was not comfortable with. I only read the hints in the HESI book. I do HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Saunders book and CD because there were definitely some similar questions on the HESI!!!!!!! Make sure you identity exactly what the question is asking and select THE BEST answer choice. I would say for 98% of the test either all the answer choices seemed correct or I could get it down to 2. I don't know if you have taken a strategies course or have books, but Kaplan and Saunders both have very good strategies books that can help with these situations.

Outside of the these resources YOU HAVE TO BE POSITIVE!!!! Go in saying to yourself that you will pass AND BELIEVE WHAT YOU ARE SAYING....YOU CAN DO IT :)

The test was intimidating, as you know, but I just kept telling myself that I was going to pass and I did....BE ENCOURAGED AND KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!!!
