Hello. I just found out that I will have to take the HESI at my college during the orientation phase of the nursing program in Feb. 2009. I was wondering if anyone could give me some info or advice on how to prepare for this exam. Should I start studying now to brush up on the subjects? I have to pass this exam in order to be in the program. I am feeling a bit stressed about it. Any advice given by other students would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Wittylg,
I took the HESI last week. Make sure you know your math (ratios, percentages, decimals, and conversions (i.e., liters, ounces, kilometers, etc.). The reading comprehension wasn't too bad. Grammar and Vocab were okay. I was a bit nervous but found the HESI a lot easier than the NET. I scores in the 90s on the HESI. There is a HESI practice test online that you can print off. I couldn't find the link to post here. I bought the HESI exam book at the bookstore and it paid off!! Good luck.

Here are a few older posts about the HESI A2 admission test. There's a lot of good info about the test. I would definitely recommend studying for this test. Be sure you know which sections your school requires you to take, and what a minimum score is. Good luck!
