I just ordered my books. I saved $176.31 by ordering them from Half.com. Wow. Most of them were brand new. Yippe!!

Thanks - - I had just figured it out when I got your message. I would have thought by now they would have our classes posted under "My CFCC". I suppose they are waiting to see who shows up to the orientation. I did see on the College Schedule of Classes that no one has been registered for any of the courses since it says "0/36." I did get all my vaccinations a few weeks ago, but I haven't gotten my physical since my doctor is out until mid-December. I was looking at the books, but I was hoping they would have them on Wednesday to purchase. I would prefer to find them used online. I'm glad I have A&P, Nutrition and Lifespan completed to have a lighter load. See you Wednesday.

HI Bella, I am still registered for the LPN. I found out there were available seats for the RN but since I am out of county, I am at the bottom of the list. I was told if I had lived in Citrus, Levy or Marion, I would have gotten in. Oh well, I'm grateful for the LPN. I'm still an alternate for the RN at another school so hopefully, I'll get a call soon that I get to start there. I've gotten all my vaccinations but am waiting closer to January before I get my physical. Hopefully, Wednesday we will get all the info we need. I don't anything about them dropping you from a program once accepted into another. I'm not that familiar with CFCC. Have you spoken to anyone about what we can expect Wednesday? Do we pay our fees? Get books?

Hello all, Can anyone advise on the typical schedule of an LPN student at CFCC? I'm trying to get some idea of what time classes start/end and if you have classes on Friday, when you do clinicals, etc. :typing Has anyone heard if there are seat still available for the RN program?

Wap, I am glad for you, really I am, and I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable. I should have walked away from the post instead of responding like I did. Please accept my apology. I was very upset because I had a meeting with an advisor ealier this week who told me that all in-county residents would have preference over out-of district applicants, even if the scores were lower. I was told GPA is 60% and then NET is 40% of the decision. It is just frustrating when the advisors tell you one thing but then you find out differently. It is hard to swallow when you have a GPA of 4.0 and mid-range NET and were put on an alternate list and the only classes you have left are NUR courses. I just wish PHCC would be consistent. Again, my apologies, and I wish you the very best.

I have to say I am at a loss for words on this. Many of us living in-district did not get accepted then we find out an out-of-district student was accepted? The handbook specifically states that in-district students will be accepted before out-of-district. Unbelievable!!!

Does anyone know someone who received a letter naming them as an alternate for the RN at PHCC? Has anyone been an alternate and got in? Were you given a number as to what alternate number you were? Thanks.:typing

Congrats Bella. I received my LPN acceptance letter months ago but I'm still hoping to get accepted into the RN for January. I was told they were going to re-evaluate how many seats are still available and send out more acceptance letters mid-November.

Let's just say PHCC doesn't always follow their own rules. If your NET score and GPA is good, you will be fine. Good luck.

The more General classes you have completed the eaiser it will be. Many of the students I know who have applied, have all the classes except the nursing courses completed. However, that doesn't seem to make a difference to the PHCC nursing board. They pick who they want in the program and some get admitted because of where they work rather than based on their qualifications.

I heard yesterday on campus that the letters will be sent out beginning the 11th of October.
