Can someone please help me too. I'm not too worried about the math, reading and vocab because from what everyone is saying....I will just need to base everything from the Exam Entrance study guide that I;ve purchased at Barnes by Elsevier I believe. I'm more worried about the A&P, and Biology which I havent taken for 2 years. I have never taken Biology so I was wondering if ne of you know what type of questions or what I need to focus on. I bought A&P for dummies lol because im trying to take the easy way out from learning and brushing off on it again lol. Let me know. thanks

from the vocab are the definition the same exact? If so..i will only memorize the first two sentences. lol Cuz there are 100 words =) let me know. AlSO i'm owrried about the A&P as well as Bio. What type of questions do they ask?

hey I am going to take the West Coast University HESI entrance exam on thursday! I am VERY VERY nervous. I have bad test anxiety, however I have been studying. I bought the RN Pre-Nursing Exam book 3rd edition and the HESI Evolve reach Exam Review Book. I have been studying both of those books. Is the math just like the books give us? Is it really like taking a 10th grade test....because some people say it is. Id love to get some more input from you as to what I should bruch up on. My math is kinda borderline, so I have ben memorizing formulas and trying to get my fractions and decimals and percentages memorized as well. Any more thoughts would be MUCH appreicated. Also, for the vocab was it really that difficult, or was it material that people who have english as a first language should generally know?

Hope to hear from you

I want to start west coast sometime soon as well. I just get really discouraged when i keep on readin that the Evolve guide doesn't help that much. How did you test go? What else is there that would help in studying??

AW I PASSED I GOT a 84.3 percent! Ohhh So happy. The evolve book DOES help, and I also bought two other books to brush up on my vocab and math. There was a tone of ratio problems as well as liters and cm and inches. As for the vocab and the grammer take your time. REREAD each section twice or htree times. You get to pick which section you want to start with (so I started with the math portion). I left the reading comp till the end because that is super easy. You just search for the answer within the paragraph. Vocab was tricky, but study the evolve books vocab on page 90 i think...its got a bunch of vocab words. I passed. Now Im just wondering if Western University I accredited so I can work anywhere!? Does any one know the answer to that!?

hi newbetonursing...i'm taking the HESI exam on 08/13 at WCU in Ontario...were there any anatomy & physiology questions and terms on the test?...right now, i'm just studying the math and vocabulary section...i haven't even looked at the anatomy & physiology section since the rep stated that we were only going to be tested on math, reading, grammar, and vocab...

No just study comprehension MATH reading and spelling. There are NO sciences on the exam. It was very simple. I chose to do the math first and then reading then spelling then comp. The math had a lot of ratio problems and some liters to mL and so on. Brush up on your regular math. There werent any radius triangle pie problems. Just yoru basic math.

So your considering WCU as well. Im still ify. I was supposed ot start the 30 but i think I may reconsider and go take the TEAS now.

Newbetonursing - thanks for replying back...yes, i'm considering WCU....right now, there's just so much competition at the public colleges and universities...i have no patience with the waiting list or compete with the gpa...my only option is WCU...i'm planning to enroll for January 2011...currently, i'm attending San Bernardino Valley College to finish the rest of my pre-req's....i'm trying not to get discouraged by all the negative comments on WCU...but i've talked to some students from the Ontario facility and they like it so far...what facility were you planning to go to - Ontario, L.A., or Orange?
