HESI Entrance Exam

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi,

So I had a meeting with the adviser at Chamberlain College in Addison, and they require that you take the HESI.. She recommended The Evolve Reach Testing and Remediation Admission Assessment Exam Review 2nd edition. But I've heard it not as helpful, they do require that we take all parts on the test, so the A&P, BIO, Chemistry, Reading, Vocab, Math, etc (there are 9 parts). Does anyone have any study guide recommendations?

Thank you :nuke:

I thought that study guide was actually pretty helpful, as I've been out of school for quite some time! I only had to take Reading, Math, Vocab and Grammar, so I don't know how difficult the other sections will be for you, but I thought the test overall was very basic. I scored in the high 90s on all 4 parts. The study guide will help you to refresh on what you already know from high school. Keep in mind that the schools are basically looking to see that you have a good foundation for them to help you build upon and that you have the critical thinking skills you will need to get through NS and beyond. It really isn't as hard as you think it's going to be. Good Luck!

If you don't use the HESI prep book, which I highly recommend, a SAT or ACT prep book will suffice.

Hey guys I just took the Hesi, about 2 weeks ago so i'm here with my update. I got a 90.22% at chamberlain! I was super excited cause I didn't actually think I would do that well (but then I felt like I could have done better). Now I just have to wait until may when I send in my transcript and wait some more.
