Hi !! I am new to this forum and this is my first time posting. I am taking my Hesi A2 on Thursday and I am wondering if anyone can help me understand what I should be studing. i have the study guide but it does not have a lot of reading comprehension questions. I hear the vocabulary on the test is not what is in the study guide. How much in detail is the A&P ? Any help is GREATLY needed. :)

I took it a couple of months ago. The reading and english parts were super simple. Math was baisc math, and nothing to worry about. The only problems I ran into were knowing my conversions cup - pint etc so know those, and your roman numerals. Otherwise just concentrate on the A&P portion if your being tested on it.

I had one roman numeral question, the rest were fractions and basic subtraction and addition. I also agree about the A&P portion, I expected it to be easier but it was a little more in depth than I went into when I was studying for it. Good Luck to all!!

i passed!!!!! i passed!!!!!!!!!!! :monkeydance: like lwilson said dont concentrate on the english it was super easy i got 100 or high 90's on those sections. math is the basic math that is in the study guide, with the conversions that just wont stick in my head so be sure to study those. concentrate your studying on the a&p and bio, especially like the dna and cells stuff. i forgot a lot of the really specific details about what does what with dna. good luck to you!!! let us know how you did!
i am so happy for you!!i have been looking for your post today, and hoping you did well....congratulations:balloons:
GOOD JOB!!!! Whew....bet you're glad that's over !! I wish mine was finished !! I am in AZ I wonder if the test is the same ? Was yours the A2 ? What kind of Grammer questions were there ? Is it multiple choice on everything ? Again, Good Job !!!
:) Sherry !!
thank you to both of you for the congrats and well wishes!! i'd say like 98% of the test is multiple choice, there are a few fill ins in the math part. the grammar part had questions like, which word is wrong in the sentence and there would be 1 or 2 words that were completely out of place. in the study guide it goes in to parts of speach, dont even waste your time on it. i was more worried about the grammar part then anything on the test and i got a 90 something on that section.
it was the a2 that i took. i'm sure they are very similar if not the same thing, my school doesn't require the chemistry section so i have no good advice for that part of it. you'll do great!
Thanks so much for your info. I feel a little better. My school does not require Chem. or Bio. But they DO req. A&P was that on your test and how in depth was it ?
