Hello Fellow Students. I am new to this site and I am aware that there has been so many post about the Hesi A2 entrance exam. So I apologize in advance for starting a new thread. I will be taking the Hesi A2 exam this Friday. I have been studying all week. The cool thing is Only have to do Math, Vocab/Grammar, and Reading. I have to get at least 72% on math and and average of 72% on Vocab/Grammar and Reading combined. I have the Hesi admission assessment exam review edition 2 book and have been studying that. I'm pretty confident with my math skills the only thing that bothers me is the conversion with centimeters, inches, ounces, quarts etc. any advice on how i can help myself better with that? and also im not too worried about my reading and grammar. the vocab part im a little nervous about but im still studying for it. so any advice would help guys! thank you so much! :)

I used quizlet.com and made flashcards for the conversions. It really helps. I haven't taken my test yet either but I'm pretty confident I will do well. You can actually search other peoples flashcards on quizlet and you may be able to find mine. Hope that helps.

make sure you memorize how many pt=qt=gallon etc. also i will tell you they did not give me any whole numbers when it came to conversions. its all memorization. i only had 4-5 questions regarding that stuff. remember you may not get to work with whole numbers dont get nervous be confident and you will do awesome
Hey guys! I studied a whole lot. And thank God for some reason today my mind just clicked and I now have 1 gallon - 4 quarts 1 gallon - 128 ounces etc all memorized. :)
I also wrote down all the words from
The practice test that I heard most likely will end up in the test and memorized
All the definition. I don't want to say I'm confident and I got it down because I don't want to look pass any test. But I think I'm good to go. I will be taking it tomorrow at 1pm or should I say 1300 lol. The reading section I'm worried about a little. But I know if I take
My time I can't miss it. The answer will be right in
Front of me.
Thank you guys so much for the advice. And I will come back tomorrow and post my results. Pray for great results for me! Thanks again! :)

For me majority of the vocab from the book wasn't on my exam. There were a few of the basic medical ones but there were a number of A&P questions. Also they weren't phrased like they are in the book so you couldn't use context clues. They aren't used in a sentence, they just straight out ask you what the word means.
The reading comp is similar to reading on the SAT's, asking for opinions and viewpoints. Passages are short, maybe 2 paragraphs. Grammar was easy but tricky. Sometimes I was overthinking, looking for punctuations to add when all that was wrong with the sentence was a mispelled word. Good luck.
Hey Folks! Like I said I'd come back and report to you all. I ds my hesi a2 today and got an average of 80.4 with reading vocab and grammar. I found the grammar to be really hard! They had a bunch of anatomy vocals there so I suggest study on that. And I got a 96% in math. Needless to say I got in and I start class next month! Thank you all again! :)
Just an update...I took my Hesi today and got a 94.32% overall. I only had to take Math, Vocab, Reading Comp. Everyone is right about the vocab....most of the vocab words from the exam are NOT in the book. Much more in depth medical terminology on the exam.
