Hemet Hospital New Grad Program

Hi Culli!

Goodluck to you. I haven't heard anything, but a friend recd a message yesterday to call back & she lives in Hemet. Did they mention to you if it would be for the Menifee or Hemet Hospital since your post mentions you are from Menifee? I've heard they prefer to hire locals. If you don't mind sharing, when is your interview scheduled for?

Thank you. They did not. My interview is Tuesday. I figure I can ask all those questions then. I believe they do prefer to
Hire locals, but no clue what the consider local. I was told they will be interviewing the next 2 weeks.

Again, wishing you the best on your interview next week. A friend who works at Hemet had been told they would hire 12 New Grads; however, I'm not sure if that is for both hospitals or just at Hemet Hospital. I had a clinical rotation at Hemet and live nearby. At this point, no one else has posted on this site, so I'm hopeful that more calls for interviews will be made next week.

Yeah, I heard the same thing from someone that works there. I didn't have any clinical rotations at Hemet or Menifee. Where did you go to school?

From the last cohorts thread people received calls a week after the first calls went out. So you never know!! Have you applied elsewhere?

Hi Culli005,

Hope your interview went well! Did you meet with the Nurse Recruiter and Nurse Manager? If you don't mind sharing what type of questions they asked: behavioral, situational, or tell me about you? Also, did they indicate the unit you were interested in & the hospital, and how many positions are avail for each dept? I went to MSJC & have been applying to numerous positions.

I recd a call & have an interview this Friday & was asked which unit I was interested in & said Tele. My friend has one tomorrow. We both Graduated from the same school. I wish I can pm you, but it won't allow me until I have "minimum 15 quality threads," so do we say hello back & forth or do I respond to other people's threads? Glad to hear that you made a great connection & thanks for your message. Did they mention when final decisions would be made, how many they have interviewed, & the start date of the Program?

The end of the month. They are interviewing between 30-40 and hiring 12-16

Also, looks like it will start on 3/24/14 & a friend was told that final decisions will be made at the end of the month as well. Will keep you posted. I'm surprised there's no one else on this thread.
