I took the NCLEX for the first time in July 2016, I honestly didn't feel prepared. I used ATI last time around and failed at 265 questions (worst 6 hours of my life). Now I'm scheduled to take my test again in two weeks, I did a three week review from ncsbn, and am now doing Uworld, where I'm currently at a 55%, but I just started and that's only 110 questions answered. What I'm wondering do y'all think this is enough to pass the NCLEX? Should I be doing more, honestly I'm scared to death of being in there taking another 6 hour test.
Hi there, I took the NCLEX Nov 2nd and failed in 75 questions. I did kaplan religiously for 2 to 3 weeks. All my friends who did Uworld passed! How long did it take to get your ATT the second time? I reapplied and payed 200 on PV and 150 on breeze.
Thanks and GOOD LUCK!
I went in on the 26th of October and paid for and turned in my application, and received my ATT on October 27th. however they do expect you to wait atleast 45 days to retake the test. personally I waited probably way to long.
When it came to receiving my ATT I had to stay on top the board in my state because they were backed up. My application was in the mix of all of the new graduates so it took quite a bit of time. I saw that you mentioned you did Kaplan religiously ; I used their material as well when I first prepared. How were your scores ? & this second time around do you plan on using anything different?

I used Kaplan only the first time, I was scoring 50s. Kaplan has offered to give me a new subscription which is nice but I signed up for Uworld and I really like the rationales. I feel like I am learning more on Uworld. I just hope I can get my ATT soon so I can test towards the end of Dec
UWorld likes scores 60% & higher while taking your exams. They recommend if you are consistently scoring between 50%-60% just be sure to review those rationales . I used UWorld as well & before I tested my progress showed I was in the 60 something percentile. So monitor your progress & try your best to understand why you got those incorrect. If you are consistent you will do AWESOME !!
I took my exam last Nov. 10 at 10am. One of my friend also took the exam last month, failed at 75 questions. I feel more nervous because of that. I finished nursing year 2007, confidently took the exam in the Philippines and passed it, one take. I wasn't that serious in terms of reviewing for our local boards since 75% of what was taught in nursing school was still intact to my brain. Years passed, and i got the chance to live here and the only way to practice my profession is to passed the NCLEX RN. I feel more pressured because eventhough i had 5 solid years working as an ED nurse in Manila, I am very sure that 40% or less of what we studied in nursing school was still remaining in my brain. Addition to that is I'm working 80-100 hours a week. Rarely to have a day off in a month. One of my co worker before introduced me to UWorld qbank. I purchased the product right away and started answering questions. Ive also read a lots of forums that PDA by LaCharity is a good one. I purchased the book and read and answer all the things in the book. I prepared for the exam for 5 weeks only. After stressing myself for those weeks, just this morning, all the hard work paid off. I passed the NCLEX with 75 questions, no computation, ekg, audio questions. 10 SATA, 63 multiple choice and 1 correct the order.
I'm so excited you are using UWorld! Call your BOA every now & then to see the progress of your application. What state ads you testing in ? Also how is your confidence level while you are doing your QBank questions ?
I am happy I signed up for Uworld. A lot of my friends told me about it but I was trying to be cheap the 1st time coz I had already paid for kaplan. I am in California, I have sent in all my applications and paid everything so just waiting and testing right now. I honestly feel so much better since I started Uworld!!! Hope I can test again by the end of the year
