A lot of employers do have rules against discussing wages, so I wouldn't make a habit of answering these types of questions. But like the others have said, I can't imagine that this would cost you your job (unless you've had lots of other problems and they're just looking for any little misstep!).
I haven't made a habit of discussing my wages with this patient or anybody else. Have you ever been in the middle of a task and somebody asks you a question and you answer really not thinking about it. Thats what I did. I've learned my lesson! I just don't know what to say to my boss if they find out. I don't have any problems my last review came back great and my boss said I was doing a great job.
come on now it will be fine unless u said other things that was negative but i honestly wouldn't care becouse as a former cna worker i love the patients but hate the low pay i mean it would be illegal for them to fire u for telling ppl how much u make so lol i have did that did that may times i never got fire an thats becouse i'm a good worker

I work as a home health CNA. A patient of mine asked me how much I make and I stupidly told them without thinking! Should I say something to this patient and tell them not to say anything? Or should I just let it go and pray they don't say anything? I like my job and want to keep it! I'm scared my boss will find out and I'll loose my job!
Please Help!
