Help! I'm getting down to the science classes and I do not know what order I should take these classes to get the most out of them. One teacher tells me to take chemistry first, some students say try microbiology first. What is the best game plan?
Here are the science classes I still need to take before nursing school:
A&P I & II
Microbiology
Chemistry I & II
Growth & Development
I still have to take Statistics my US Governments too! But I want to start my sciences, I just don't know where to turn first! Help!
I need some good old advice!
Thanks!
Miranda
This is excellent advice!I originally took Chemistry first just because it was offered in the summer, and I wanted to get it out of the way. I had no idea how much of it we'd use in A&P and micro, which, as it turned out, was considerable. I can't imagine taking it simultaneously with another lab science, but people do it.
If you have the chance, get Chemistry out of the way and you'll be set for the others.
I am really glad that I started out with the chem classes...I am currently taking micro and soooooo glad that I have seen chemical reactions before..... we deal with lots of those. We are currently covering bacterial metabolism.....things don't seem to be so alien and I feel for the students that are struggling because they haven't had chem yet One of the girls said that even in Nutrition metabolism will be covered in depth....once again I will be glad to have had chem before...
