Hi, I'm currently finishing up my BSN RN, but I'm looking for something to supplement my career in the meantime.
A little bit about myself:
-I have a lot of endurance (Long distance marathon runner), I can get shot down a million times and still keep trying.
-I like the fast paced environment of the ER, but the depth and critical thinking of ICU.
-I absolutely love evidence based research and being "by the book," I don't like shortcuts at all.
*-I'm huge on nursing ethics; beneficence, non maleficence, veracity, fidelity.*
-I am a huge patient advocate. I will lose my job for a patient, I'm cool with it God provides for me.
-I'm aware of the U.S. government and it interests me on how things are run but I like to believe that we're doing the best that we can. I'm proud of our country, and I'm interested in the statistical work, demographics of people, psychology, environmental versus genetic stimuli that effects a person's health.
-I work best alone, but I'm extremely open and happy to work with others to learn and pick their brain.
I have no clue what specialty to go in, or what to do while I waiting to finish up my degree (taking a break and I'm bored and want to be productive-a girl can only make so many bread rolls in a day lol).
I was told to gear myself toward poly sci or possibly a psych degree? ( I want the self satisfaction of having a dr in front of my name one day - several trials, abusive relationships in my past ).
Help please and Thank you.

Research nursing is hard to break into, but might be a good match
