Help USA RN License Endorsement

Published

Hi everyone. I have some questions regarding endorsement of RN license. This might sound silly but I want to know or at least know your opinion regarding this.

Situation: I am a licensed RN in state A. I want to practice in state B. Aside from the endorsement process, can I just apply for RN license thru NCLEX-RN examination instead of endorsement? I mean. I will apply my license thru NCLEX-RN examination and have my current state board of nursing (state A) forward the results of my NCLEX-RN exam to the state board (state B)? Is that theoretical idea possible?

may I know your opinion guys? you can send me private messages here regarding this topic.. thank you..

If you have a license to endorse then you complete endorsement and follow the process if you have no license to endorse then you use the apply for licensure by exam and follow process. If trained outside the US then you may need to meet other requirements but that is for the BON to decide

If we can't take the CA NCLEX exam, since we can't get the ATT, so thus, as mentioned, we have no NCLEX passing results to forward to any state.

To everyone asking of the same question: just pick whatever state you wish to work in for the next 3-8 years or more.

It makes no sense to get a license in one state, when you really want to work in another, as you need to still pass that state's requirements you wanted to work in the first place.

You will be spending more MONEY by hopping around one state to another in extra fee$ and possible extra money for certain testing$ and wasting more months waiting and waiting, instead of looking for a job.

The FASTEST, the EASIEST, the CHEAPEST state to apply into is the State you feel you will put your roots down for many years. If that state doesn't meet your needs and desires (weather, salary, etc) now then move on and research and travel to that state if you can.

Avoid the 13 states that are enforcing the concurrency now, The list of them are mentioned a few times on this forum.

To find out what state you are interested in, the bottom of each page is the list of BON's and you can easily Google...STATE's name followed by "board of nursing"....BINGO! It's all there for the state's requirements, including every one of the Board's has a special ""INTERNATIONAL"" section.

Just know to endorse any out of state RN license is not going to meet the CA BON requirements (again), as the same college transcripts will be rejected (again) and the application will be denied.
