Help To Get Right Thing

Hi there,

I'm RN in Czech Republic. I decide to relocate to Canada. I found some college for international education of nurse. The college name is "OMNI COLLEGE". Do anyone have any experience with that collage ? Or , if any other collage for international student is there, can you write it down.

Thank you and have nice day

Pavel

Why are you looking for educational colleges?

Are you looking for registration information? If so, google college of registered nurses and then the name of the province you are thinking of moving to

Specializes in Acute Care, Rehab, Palliative.

If you are already a nurse you don't need to go back to school. you need to contact the college of nurses(our licensing bodies are callee colleges) in the province in which you want to be licensed. They will instruct you on how to apply as an IEN. the next step will be figuring out how you are going to legally work in canada. Nursing has been taken off the Federal Skilled Worked list so you will havw to look at a tempoaray Work Permit which means having alicense and finding an emplyer willing to go the TWProute. With thousands of Canadian nurse out of work this will be very difficult. Coming to Canada on a study permit will not mean you can stay and work.

Specializes in NICU, PICU, PCVICU and peds oncology.

Omni College is similar to the Bridge program provided by Mount Royal University in Alberta and a number of other bridges across the country. Omni is accredited by the BC Ministry of Education and is located in Richmond. Their purpose is to prepare foreign-educated health care professionals to work in the Canadian health care system, so Pavel's question is a valid one. But having said that I have to echo loriangel14's post - there are very few opportunities in Canada for IENs right now and for the foreseeable future. And Richmond is one of the most expensive communities in the country to live in. Now is NOT the time to be planning to move to Canada.

Thank you to all for brief responds. This make me some decisions how to do that.
