Help

I am readying to take the NCLEX-PN and I am scared. I feel like I am unfocused in my studies and don't know what to focus my attention on. There seems to be so much. Right now I am mostly answering tons of practice questions.

Any tips on studying or what to brush up on. I know the basics but I am stressing over meds and other things. PLEASE HELP!!

Study SYSTem by SYSTEM and everytime u finish a system, draw a line over it (like on a piece of paper, write down all the systems, basic care, math calculations, procedures - you need to review and then scratch them as you finish them.) You will feel like you have been studying and achieving, and then it will also give you a quick view of how many more you still have got to review.

Plan it and study methodically. It will boost your confidence. Good luck.

And if you know ur weakness area, maybe cover it first and then move on to another area. Or set aside some time maybe (hour/day) for your weakness area everyday, while you still review your other materials system by system.

Good luck. You can do this.

Check this therad out from time to time for moral support and other helpful NCLEX informations, as everyone is trying to reach the same destination. My april Thread/group/family was very very very helpful to me.

Mskell, I understand how you feel. I take the test on friday and I do not feel ready but wonder if I ever will feel ready.

i also planned the systems/areas to study from my weakest to strongest and i just jot it on my calendar like a day or two before. when i finish i write it on my list along with the date i finished. i also keep up with the number of questions i do what area etc..so i dont keep answering questions from the same systems. tip-so that i know that i am answering at least 40 nclex questions a day. i pick up my orange mosby q and a book and tackle 20 when i awake and 20 before i hit the sheets. i got a plan that just sort of happened...i will review content heavily and answers questions pertaining to that system (i call it my alternation system lol)on one day....the next day i am taking nclex-style exams (multisystem/areas), working on pharm, and alternate style questions only!!! i would always get exhausted when trying to do 150-200 questions per day plus reviewing. so split it up if you can. hope this helps:D
