Has anyone here taken the PSB-RN or no anything about it. I am scheduled to take it this Saturday and i have been studying but what areas does the test focus on most. What sciences, what math , reading etc. Is the PSB-RN as difficult or less difficult as the NET or the NLN-PN( i took both) any insight you all may have plus any tips on what i should be focusing on would be sooooooooooo greeeeeeeeeat!!!!!!!!! Im going bananas trying to get into a nursing prgram this fall this is all i ever wanted to do and im gonna get it right soon.

I took that exam before nursing school.
I actually enjoyed taking it, so I might not be much help. I understand most people don't enjoy it.....
I don't think you can really learn enough in a couple of days to make the difference, but no learning is ever wasted--so you might thumb through your old earth science or physics books, and work a few algebra problems ("word problems"). It wouldn't hurt to brush up on conversion factors (like how many ounces in a cup, metric system, that kind of stuff).
Good luck--let us know how it goes!

Hi Andy, those that I know that have taken the PSB-RN have told me that the reading comprehension, verbal, and math is all pretty basic. However, most students that take the test find the science section to be the hardest as it has some knowledge based questions. I've been told by others to review B vitamins (know what the "other" names for them are), basic cell structure and ATP, as well as basic chem.

Hi Andy, I took the PSB exam for my nursing school, except we didn't have to do the science portion and so I can't help you with that. But the below website has practice tests similar to what you'll find on the test, along with rationales for the answers, and I also used the book they recommended by Marion Gooding (it was recommended by my nursing school as well). Both resources were extremely helpful and were key, I think, in my being able to pass the test.
