HELP please!

Okay, So I am preparing to re take my NCLEX in the end of March or beginning of April. This will be my 3rd attempt. I still have to send in my paperwork and schedule my exam. I have started studying but feel like there is SO much information that I need to refresh on. I last tested 2 yrs ago. Last time I failed I lost all motivation and hope. This test killed my self confidence. I am so scared that I might fail again. I have to pass! What is the best way to study all of the content areas? I don't have a clue how to even start planning to study properly. Does anyone have any good study plan ideas? I feel so overwhelmed:( I currently work as an LPN-which helps, but I have to keep "real world" seperate from "textbook world". Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I have the Saunders 3rd and 4th edition books and ATI testing website to use. I have a Lippincott book that i bought in 2009. I don't have money to go buy new books or do a review course. Will these books be helpful? Also some friends gave me their hurst review books to use, but its hard b/c I don't have the lectures to go with it....I try to sit and study for a while but after an hr i start to get distracted and unmotivated. HELP!!

My advice would be to get the NCLEX flash cards by Mosby. Focus on Med Surg, Pharm and Prioritization. There were some Peds and Psych, but were so few as to not waste your time studying those.

You can DO THIS!!

Thank you so much for replying! I feel like no one hardly ever replies to my posts. That advice will help me narrow down what to focus on. I keep reading that there is a lot of prioritization and infection control on the NCLEX. Also are there any websites to review audio stuff on?

I have the newest Saunders and there is an assessment portion on the cd you have to take and after that it sets up a six week calendar/study plan for you and shows you your weakest area. I have not gone through it yet but I read this from the information when I installed the cd. I think that might be helpful for you in your case. I have also read alot about the LaCharity book and how it helped alot of people with prioritization questions, you might want to invest in that as well. Good Luck and may God help us all!

You might want to consider a review course like Hurst or Kaplan to give you a jump start. Good luck.
