help planning to move in Sacramento, advice

Published

I lived for a short time in Texas now and I plan to move to Sacramento CA in one month. Is there any lovely nurse from there or anybody who used to live there and can share something about it??? I never have been there ! I need to know where to start looking for apartments safe area, close to a hospital. Can somebody recomend any hospital wher I could work after taking my NCLEX? I know the prices are higher there than in Texas, but for the begining I will take what is convenient. Any good ideas would be appreciate!

I need as much information as possible.

Are there many hospitals?

Thanks.

Thank you very much for the tip. My brother is on the way there ( he will move there too). He has to bring his car there. So you can imagine to drive from Texas to Ca.... I will call him and tell him about the information I got from you!

Is the Kaiser Hospital in the midtown ? I am interested to get a appartment in that area (I have to get a map to look at).

Thanks a lot for your help !

Unfortunately, the closest hospital to mid town Sac is Sutter hospital. It doesn't pay as well as the other hospitals.

Kaiser has hospitals in South Sac and Roseville ( in the burbs). It has one hospital in the central area of Sac, the neighborhood isn't so great and you would still be 20-30 minutes away from the midtown/downtown area.

If you want to check out apartments, go on line to the Sac Bee newpaper site, it will give you a better idea on cost of housing.

If you need more info, feel free to email me.

Don't forget the UCD Med Center... it's very easy to get to from midtown/downtown and the area around Sac State.
