Hi, I am starting Ob and Peds in about 2 months. At my school the class is fast paced and in 9 weeks. Anyone have any advice or any kind of books I can use to help me pass the class? Lot's of people fail that class at my school. :/
THANKS IN ADVANCE.
I got these same classes and clinical coming up this Fall. Actually the female students sound more nervous about the whole thing that me...Any tips for the classes keep them coming up. Only advantage I got is I did several deliveries in ambulances, in homes, etc so I know I won't be nervous at all about the clinicals or all the stuff one may see. Plus I'm a dad, I believe I'm good with kids. Its just getting all the new content in my head is what worries me. Its 2 thick textbooks this time, should I stick to reading them or get additional supplement books? I really want to get A's in these classes. Tips?
For study questions, I'd highly recommend the Peds and L&D books from the "Success" series...
It's a lot of content to take in within a short period of time, but as a fellow dad myself ... I found Pediatrics really cool, and I learned a LOT from it. L&D was all right, and didn't seem nearly as demanding. Good luck!!

OP there are quite a few Lippincott apps for iPhone/iPad...I buy the ones for each module and I love them...here's an example:

Just search "lippincott" in iTunes Store you will get a long list.
