Hello, According to Mosby's Medical Dictionary ( my personal favorite and highly recommended) and just some I know...
1. ad lib..to be taken as desired. (Mosby) ie. Out of bed ad lib
2. O.O.B....out of bed. ie.OOB ad lib
3. BRP..Bathroom Privileges...ie. BR with BRP + Bed rest with bathroom privileges
4. w/c...wheelchair
5. DOE Dyspnea on Exertion.(found on a cool website)
6. P.V.R. Pulmonary Vascular Resistance (Mos by)
Good Luck to you in your studies. Learning medical terminology and their abbreviations is overwhelming at times...you can do it!!
I read the other replies after posting...I agree with PVR as post void residual
