I took Nclex a week ago after studying non-stop for over a month, I felt confident and thought I had it, after I passed question number #75 I started to loose my confidence quickly after testing for 6hrs I didn't feel any sort of way....I had a feeling that I failed, ever since I have had no motivation to move forward, my anxiety takes over when it's time to test and Idk what to do next....can anyone give me words of wisdom:-), how to start a new study plan, how to go about getting a new testing date, do I need a new background check any books or tricks that worked for you ect. Thanks--from a newbie to the group!!

Don't get down on yourself, negative thoughts just keep your hopes down. Positive thinking is more important than you may think, so try to look at all the things you have accomplished that were difficult or challenging. You passed nursing school, that is huge! Anyways, I took NCLEX this june, and i graduated at the beginning of may. I think 6 weeks is a good time for studying. I did kaplan and it helped me a lot. I went to the classroom for a week and learned some tips from a kaplan teacher and you do a lot of practice questions which helps a lot. I did 90% of the qbank which i thought was really helpful. I think the more questions you do the better. My kaplan teacher had as take a sheet of paper and write down anything we discussed that we needed to brush up on. She said take one day a week and go over all the content you don't know. The other days you mainly just do practice questions. Maybe look over the drug groups and be familiar with main side affects and contraindications. Know the different endings of the drug names too incase you see a drug you have never heard of you may be able to guess based on the ending. Pray about it and relax. You got this!
thanks guys I really appreciate your comments!!!!

Take some days off before you start. Conduct a self-assessment and determine whether content or test-taking strategies (or both) are whats needed for you to succeed.
When I first took NCLEX RN in 2010, I got flustered, anxious and didn't have the common sense to request a break. I was doing great until a calc question came up which threw me off....and downhill I went from there. This time around, I know better not to let the NCLEX ghost scare me while I'm taking the exam.
Don't give up. Your biggest hurdle is behind you. Good luck!!!

Im truly sorry. I am a terrible test taker. I had to test separately all thruout ns. When I took the
NCLEX on 9/7, and it didn't stop at 75...i was a wreck. I thought I was doing good w/tons of SATA.
I didn't get out oh there into the 100s. Please dont give up. Review your weaknesses and come back
with a fresh start and new beginning. Dont do anything for a while. Just breathe. People pass on the
2nd & 3rd attempt.
