Here, hope this helps. You can also do a search on your own on this site just like in google.

what is CES?what is that for?
Just click the link. NM doesnt need the CES but some one replied about the NM process in that thread. Read about it.

i have this unanswered question since IL became a non CG requiring state. I passed IELTS and CGFNS. I have a VISASCREEN. i was so frustrated when i checked the IL BON that they now require CES and TOEFL. i have no choice but IL since my family lives there. Does it mean that i have to take TOEFL and have this CES? anybody has a concrete info regarding this? I already read the IL BON guidelines and etc. but there's no mention there regarding this matter. i wrote the BON last february and haven't received anything from them since then. I already sent my DS 230 (or whatever it is). I just want to finish all my exams before i enter USA.
Please if anybody has a concrete info regarding this matter....

maybe, your family members in il can take time to go to the idpr in chicago or springfield and explain your case. il changed its policy in 2005 from cp to ces. but, perhaps they can consider your case as within a transition period. if it doesn't work out, you might want to consider applying in another state such as new mexico (using your cg certificate) but at the same time processing and waiting for your ces and preparing for toefl (il doesn't require the speaking part of toefl, right?), and then you can endorse later on to il when your ces and toefl (and fingerprinting) are done after obtaining nm license. is this ok with you? :nuke:

If you're definite in going to IL then just apply straight to them. Don't go in a merry-go round. You will just be wasting time and money. It needs the CES not the CGFNS certification anymore. Even those who were eligible for the waived fee for the CES a year ago were still compelled to submit the CES and IL will only accept the CES.
A bit of history: those applicants who applied for the Nov. CGFNS exam last year were given a waived fee for the CES for IL (only) because CGFNS was late to announce that IL will now only accept CES and not the CGFNS certification anymore.
I don't see CGFNS doing the same good-will gesture again since there are no more excuses for mistakenly taking up the CGFNS exam instead of just the CES for IL.
You will definitely apply and pay for the fee for the CES for IL if you're going to IL. Only matter you have to clear to CGFNS if you still need to re-send the req'ts but more likey not anymore. Just submit the CES application and the fee and make sure you indicate that you previously availed of the CGFNS certification and your CGFNS id # so that they can use the documments they you already sent.
Visit the website for the IL (IDPR) again and check if they will accept the IELTS already. If not.. then no choice.
Goodluck.

i actually took my NCLEX here in california.actually you can take the NCLEX without the taking the local board exam if you are an immigrant here but if you only have a visitor visa then you need to pass a letter of explanation why are you not licensed in the philippines.

You can also take it as a non-immigrant. Just need to provide a letter to the BRN.
