Hope somone can give me some tips. Two weeks ago i went on a job Interview. It was a job I really wanted. Last week they called to see if I was still interested, i said yes. They said they would let me know but I haven't heard from them. People are telling me I should call them but i just don't know what to say. I am not good at this sort of thing but I really want the job. Help!!

Call the person you interviewed w/. It is perfectly acceptable to let him/her know that you are still very much interested. Consider the phone call ahead of time...it is an extension of your interview. Your chance to re-iterate why you want the job and to "fix" anything that you might have not said so well in the initial interview. It will also bring you to the forefront of his/her mind. Go for the job! Often times, employers are looking for those who are persistent and show a genuine eagerness to work for their organization. Good luck!

You can also send a thank you note to the employer for keeping you informed (IE the call to see if you were still interested)..and that you are eager to hear from them soon about their choice.
I send thank you cards to all interviews, even the ones I don't want after the interview. It is classy and professional to do so and an art that was lost long ago..but still holds much weight, and looks very favorably on the interviewee :). I have professional looking cards, plain in nature really...off white with embossed thank you on the cover...and I write them directly after the interview so it is all fresh in my mind, using 1-2 positive things said during the interview so that I leave that interviewer with a positive even if I am not there :). And I mail it on my way home from the interview so it gets there quickly.
I have been in your position several times, and I feel if they didn't specify a time to get back to you (which I try to remember to ask), I feel 2 weeks is pleanty of time to wait for a call back to see how things are going! You never know, calling may just show the interest they want to see if they are unsure of whom to pick...and get that ball rolling in your favor! :)
Good luck! :)
