I just completed my online enroll application for Excelsior, so of course, I was feeling very curious and started looking at the required learning materials to use for Health Differences. Boy I felt really intimidated! What is everyone else using to study for this test? Please any and all recommendations appreciated.
Thanks!
@Savagetrojan and Brenan, thanks a million for the advice, I feel a whole lot better now. I am so glad I joined allnurses! Everyone here is sooo helpful.
Welcome to the family! You will find many helpful, caring individuals here. We celebrate each others accomplishments and feel the pain of their setbacks. We are all in this together because even though most of us have families, they don't even know what it's like to go through this. The unique thing about this group(that I have noticed) is when one finishes they don't abandon the site but continue to mentor and advise. Once again, welcome!
Ok, so I just took and passed this exam. OMG.....I thought I was in trouble when I actually ran out of time for the very 1st time.....this was partially because I started to feel very sick and nauseated in the exam room (really hot), then a took a couple breaks to try to feel better. (I am also still recovering from major surgery). Anyway, I thank God that I passed and don't have to worry about this again.
The exam is not too bad but you must know your Electrolyes and Fluid Balances. You must know what S/S goes with each Electrolyte imbalance--if you know this very well the exam will be an easy one. Everything else was pretty much either prioritizing or common sense. Good Luck...you can do it!
