Hi All,
I took the Nclex Thursday morning. After hearing almost everyone I know say they cut off at 75, thats what I was anticipating! When my computer rolled past 75 my mouth dropped open. I ended up taking the Entire freaking exam. I tried the PVT but the message said "This candidate has results on hold. No registration at this time". Please someone tell me what this means. I have turned all of my forms in and there wasnt any kind of "suspicious' act on my part when I took the test so ***** As my luck would have it, I have to wait the entire weekend before i can speak to someone. I'm over here madder than a mosquito in a mannequin factory lol (Larry the Cable Guy). any info is appreciated.
YEp that's why! usually if you finish fast and passed! they get suspicious when you passed. But after thy review that you did not cheat your quick results will say pass! Soo start celebrating now!
lol that just happened to me. took my nclex friday, had the 'results on hold' pop up and it never changed. it went from that to being able to get the quick results. i was in my car to go home at 8:55 when my exam was scheduled for 8am. maybe thats why my results were on hold too.
(i am a quick test taker. when we did ATI comprehensive testing i did all 180 q's in 70 minutes. and finished with an 86%)
did you pass??? my results are on hold as well..did 75 questions in 45 min AND my computer froze for about two minutes had to raise my hand and get the proctor to come fix it...
I passed, dont know if @ryleighsmommy did. My quick results came back on time but my lic # is not on the BON yet and i took it 2 weeks ago... good news is my friend who took it 2 days b4 me had her # go up today so mine should be up sometime next week
hope you get some good news soon!
i had a similar situation. was going to work per diem in a adult day care program but then found out my NY lic isnt valid in NJ. but just got a job offer that is SO more my type. basically private duty nurse for toddler newly diagnosed with type 1 DM. its only short term but its peds.

be positive. hopefully the investigation will finish quickly and your results will be available.
(i'm a half glass full /silver lining to every storm cloud type gal. i hope i dont offend you)
hugs and kisses!

Sorry everyone I havent updated..unfortunately i DID NOT pass Nclex. Ive been hitting the books extremely hard since I now have less than a month to test again. I will definitely be prepared this time :) Im working diligently on the SATA and Priority and delegation part. Wish me luck fellow nurses :)
ryleighsmommy,
When I was in nursing school I was taught to determine if the question had a true-response or false-response stem. Here is a PowerPoint I found that may be helpful. This PowerPoint does not guarantee a pass. Retrieved from www.jcdd.edu.
Slides 23 and 24 corresponds to my statement above. Good Luck!

The only ones who I've heard fail or had their results invalidated had issues or irregularities that the individual was already aware of so there wasn't too much surprise (aside from feeling that they shouldn't be penalized for failing to follow the rules).
Positive thinking is a good thing. Re: delivered successfully, if I remember correctly, means that the results have been delivered between the testing site and the main PV computer, not indicative that the results have been sent to the BoN since there is another QA/QC check. (but don't quote me on that, I'd have to do some looking to find exactly where I got that information whether it was PV or NCSBN)
Positive: You didn't break any rules. You didn't have your computer break down. You weren't evacuated because of an impending weather threat. (I had a classmate that drove to the testing center, checked in, sat down to start the tutorial and was then evacuated for a mandatory evac for an impending major hurricane. I think I would have passed out right then and there.) You didn't bring in all your NCLEX prep materials, just in case. Your cell phone didn't go off during the exam. You GRADUATED from nursing school. :yelclap: You made it through the test conscious and in one piece.
Negative: the stress of waiting may do you in.
Positive: You are still here passing the time on allnurses. Time will continue whether you stew in misery or take a deep breath and move on. The wait will be over. You can always try calling PV customer service tomorrow and be lucky to get a helpful rep that can give you insight into your 'hold', if it even still exists tomorrow.
Plus, you are not in a mosquito factory right now :bugeyes:and hopefully are cool as a cucumber in this heat wave:flamesonb is hitting parts of the US.
Hopefully you are at least smiling now...
