I am a US licensed registered nurse and planning on moving to Australia, possibly Melbourne. I am trying to see if someone can give me some information regarding the requirements or a site where I can inquire. Your help will be greatly appreciated. :)

If you mean big hospitals that employ lots of staff, there are several.

Royal Melbourne, The ALfred, St Vincents, Monash, Royal Childrens

There are several other hospitals that are private and public that are slightly smaller, these ones I have mentioned I think, used to be, don't quote are around 400.-500 beds. In the last few years These hospitals have taken over others that were pysch, aged care and are now called Health areas. These hospitals in the acute sections have specialities in everything.

Theres lots of others go to this site http://www.health.vic.gov.au/jobs/

for a place to start, mind you this is just public stuff.

Melbourne Health is the Royal Melb plus others in this area.

Southern Health is Monash plus others in this area

Eastern Health is the ALfred plus others.

Hope this makes sense, C

The Nursing board for Victoria, which is the State that Melbourne is the capital city is at this site http://www.nbv.org.au

Specializes in Medical.

Congratulations on your decision to emigrate!
