Help! Foreign Educated Nurse Refresher Course

Hello everyone!

I just recently passed the NCLEX-RN and the BON of TX will not issue me a license until I have completed a Refresher Course. I am educated in the Philippines, but currently residing here in Lubbock, TX. Does anyone live in Lubbock or somewhere around Lubbock who happens to be in the same situation as me? I am looking for a school for this Foreign Educated Nurses Refresher Course. I hope somebody would bump into this post of mine and give me some advice and the name(s) of the school. The BON does not offer FENS courses or assist in finding one. Thank you all in advance.

Hi,Congrats on passing the NCLEX. Me too looking for a RN-refresher course(I 'm foreign graduate),I live in Dallas area,I found 3 RN refresher course near by me, but I need to get many things like temporary permit ,etc to start my RN course. Please check your community colleges and hospitals, some times they offer RN refresher course. I found One in Collin county college and one in Methodist hospital.I'll give the link for your reference.

Hi Mike...

Gud to hear that.Between when your classes starting and what is the duration(hrs)Theory+clinicals...?

Even I found one near Dallas ,but they are asking for CPR certificate and Immunization, and TB- test results.I'm confused about the immunization, like can I take shots just in a clinic and get a note from them or is there a form that I need to take clinic to be filled by them...???

If you have any Info please tell me.
